What does burnout mean?
Burnout goes beyond a busy week or temporary tiredness. Prolonged overload and exhaustion are central. It can be related to work, but also to worries or responsibilities outside work. Your GP assesses whether your symptoms fit and whether other causes need investigation.
Which symptoms would you like to discuss?
Tell us what has changed for you. Not everyone experiences the same symptoms, and a checklist is not a way to diagnose yourself.
- Little energy for ordinary daily activities.
- Worrying, difficulty falling asleep or waking unrefreshed.
- Difficulty concentrating and becoming overstimulated more easily.
- Difficulty relaxing, even when there is time to rest.
Recovery takes more than a treatment
Together with your GP, practice mental health professional or psychologist, you can explore what is maintaining the overload. If you are off work, an occupational physician helps tailor your return to your situation. Attention to rest, daily rhythm and achievable changes remains important. A device-based treatment does not remove the causes of burnout.
Additional attention to sleep and energy
During an introduction, we discuss your main concern and existing support. If complementary treatment seems appropriate, a proposal may consist solely of NESA . Combining several treatments is not compulsory. NESA is not a proven treatment to cure burnout; we discuss the limited evidence, your expectations and evaluation points beforehand. IHHT oxygen training is likewise not automatically suitable for exhaustion: we first assess your health and capacity for activity.
A personal goal, without a fixed recovery deadline
Perhaps you want a calmer evening, a better balance to your day or to do something for yourself again. We make that goal concrete and discuss your experience after any treatment. If the benefit is insufficient or symptoms increase, we reconsider the proposal. Read also about stress and tension, sleep problems and persistent fatigue.
Frequently asked questions
Can I have NESA alone, without a combination package?
Yes. If NESA is appropriate after assessment, the proposal can consist of NESA alone. You do not need to add oxygen training or red light therapy. We discuss the content and costs beforehand.
Does this replace support for burnout?
No. Any treatment at Energy Clinics is complementary. Support addressing the causes of overload and agreements with your GP, psychologist or occupational physician remain important.
